I'm not going to begin by telling grandmomma stories about what birthdays are, but ya know it's essentially spells a celebration! A celebration of gaining a year of extra wrinkles (for the oldies) and a year less towards freedom (for the kids)

Vodka. What more can I say?

But to me and perhaps lotsa people out there, it's another reason to party your sweet and sour arse off simply because you can. Oh, and may I add that (fortunately) you won't get shipped off to military school for caking other people due to your intoxication and lack of consciousness.

Birthdays are best celebrated with the people you love. It can be a simple celebration over Secret Recipe with your immediate family

A birthday dinner with your extended family

Having nom-noms or clubbin' with your buddies

A ladies night out with your homegurls

Organizing a massive joint-birthday party with your roomie

Challenging your boyfriend to down a bottle of Black Label

AND THE LIST GOES ON....

But even if ya ain't there in person, who says you can't 'celebrate' with the birthday gurl online? Being miles away ain't no excuse anymore - it's the 21st century! Everything is possible!

Despite having the liberty to celebrate with whoever you choose and do whatever you want for your birthday celebration, don't forget the cake!

It's a do or die thing - beg, borrow or steal the cake. Because without the birthday cake, you ain't gonna be able to have any food fight
