Ipoh has been fantastic to me. Really. Even without internet connection. Oh and I'm lucky enough to have my own TehTarik Master - my own grandpappy!!

And my amazing chef@home - my own gramma!

With my fammy the fockers, one can't help but to wonder how chocolate brownies can magically appear on the dining table all the time

Blood is thicker than water ANYTIME. During my emo moments, who else could be there to cheer me up? I don't need no court jesters, no clowns nor entertainer.

Been missing Penang sosososososososoososo much as I have been away from home for quite a while.

So today, I'm back in Penang as a red-head again and flying off to Singapore tomorrow afternoon with them and towards the countdown 2009!

And I can't wait for that gathering the other Singapore bloggers organized for me in Plaza Sing! *hugsss*

Ya know, with all the Yuletide season and the Christmas cheers, how can I not share with you the Christmas 2008 ala yours truly? CHRISTMAS WITH THE FOCKERS (MY FAMILY) has beaten all the other posts to make its way right here for your reading pleasure.

Okay so for those of you who have been asking where KayElle Episode Two is, I’ve got ONE THING for you –

The Lutheran church nearby held this massive Christmas dinner and booked the entire upper sanctuary of Ocean View Chinese Restaurant. Not wanting to miss out on the community happenings, our fammy joined in as well.

Dinner was great, except for the part when the emcee gave thanks and said their grace in Mandarin before we began our meal. Hmm.. the only part I managed to grasp was 'Gan Xie Ye Su'. LOL Yeah, sadly… I’m a semi-banana. So, I gave my thanks in English instead. Hmm… =/

Strangely, I won the lucky draw again. Lady luck must’ve been on my side again this year round. IDK.

There’s just this odd thing with me and lucky draws. In almost all the dinners or lunches my fammy and I attend, I’d be bound to win something in some lucky draw. Just like the one [here] during this year’s Easter Celebration. Weird, no?

Meet the fockers - the wackiest blood-peeps on earth!!!

Apart from having Christmas dinners with the manymanyitsybitsycommunity, our fammy had our warm mini-gathering by ourselves too, right in the comfort of home just like every year.

This year, it’s slightly of a smaller scale compared to year 2001-2007.
In fact, we chose to make a simple dinner at home and hangout at Rum Jungle instead.

The Canning Garden folks are came over last night and so did couzzies Nick & Adeline; they came back from Australia! Woots!

Oh but the countdown was still special to me. We sang ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ throughout the countdown of Christmas day! *bigsmiles* ♥♥ And I can remember all the lyrics to that song now~! ^_^

Anyway, we headed down to Rum Jungle, where dinners and parties rule!

I just love playing with my camera settings to achieve abstract light streaks and combinations. ♥♥

It’s really an upbeat and classy place to chill just so you know ^_^
And the food is not too bad as well.

I dragged myself to work shooting the event that night; half wondering if my quality of work would plausibly deteriorate due to my lack of mood and focus. But no, professionalism must be upheld. *crosses fingers*


A continuation of my post, the insights of a budding photographer [here] , I’d like to share with ya my cover of a new club today.

It was the relaunching of a friggin’ hot club – Dream, located at Autocity, mainland Penang. Trust me, I was in awe when I first entered it.

It was NOTHING (I repeat: nothing) like how it used to be. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and interior décor, laser lighting, ScratchLive DJ mixing software, MTV music videos on LCD screens embedded on the walls, VIP decks, hyper & crazy crowds and so much more!

Let’s begin the night!

It was separated into the bar and the club.

For those who just enjoy sittin’ or chillin’ by a couple of drinks and live bands, check out the bar. Comfy sofa seats and lounges awaits you!

And when ya get in the mood, indulge in a flaming Lamborghini ^_^

As the night grows, leave the bar and hit the club! If amazing DJ remixes with fantastic boom bass beats and partying the night away is your thing, then this is the right place for ya!

It certainly looks impressive now after the new makeover, and I bet everyone present for the launching couldn’t agree more!

And these two gentlemen even told me that Dream was ‘bagus!!’ (translation: Malay language for ‘good!’) It was nice of them to ask for a picture of us too.

Scratch it, bring it back! I was overjoyed when my friend DJ Stib Diener was the guest DJ of the night. He’s back! This time, not spinning for Mois but Dream! Awesome! His tracks and remixes certainly made the dance floor go crazy.

I smiled for the camera but told him not to look up and instead, continue doing his thang. Barulah nice! =P


As it was the opening of Dream, there was bound to be lotsa performances, no? So yeah, Wildcats Entertainment was the performers for the night. I’ve worked with them before and trust me, they’re a mad bunch!

More and more performances came after one another and it was fab how they kept their stamina throughout the entire mass performance!

Belly dancing was next after a few street dances

The most hilarious part was this cross-dresser lip-synced a song with so much dramatism and pulled out a poor innocent guy from the crowd to ‘dance’ on the stage with ‘her’.

He was so embarrassed but I must say that it was really brave and sporting of him to oblige ‘her’.

After a total of 5 massive performances, it was the crowd’s time to shine and please don't stop the music! Back to you, Stib!

All in all, I’d say to boss Sean, this place is of the hook!!
Good job to you and the team!
